Password, Security Question, and Two-Factor Authentication on GigMug

🔒 Your account security is a top priority on GigMug. Protecting your login details helps ensure your profile and earnings remain safe.

Important: GigMug Customer Support will never ask for your password. In some cases, they may request the answer to your security question, but only to confirm account ownership. This is always handled through an official support request.

About Your Password

Your password is the first layer of protection for your GigMug account.

Never share it with anyone.

Choose a strong and unique password that’s difficult to guess.

You’ll use this password every time you log in to GigMug.

How to Change Your Password

If you need to update your password:

Go to Account Settings → Security.

Select Change Password.

Enter your current password, then create a new one.

Save your changes.

Security Question

For added protection, GigMug lets you set up a security question.

You’ll be asked this question when making sensitive account changes.

Always choose an answer that only you would know.

Customer Support may request this answer, but only to verify your identity in special cases.

How to Add a Security Question

Go to Account Settings → Security.

Select Add Security Question.

Choose your question and enter your answer.

Save your changes.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication provides an extra layer of security for your GigMug account.

When enabled, you’ll need to enter a verification code every time you log in from a new device. This code will be sent to:

Your registered email address (default),

Your verified phone number (if available), or

Another trusted device already logged into GigMug.

How to Enable or Disable 2FA

Go to Account Settings → Security.

Select Two-Factor Authentication.

Choose your preferred verification method (email or phone).

Save your changes.

Locked Out of Your Account?

If you:

Lost access to your registered email,

Forgot your security question, or

Can’t log in for any reason,
