How to Create a GigMug Account (Step-by-Step Guide)

Before you begin, please note GigMug’s rules:

You must be at least 18 years old to create your own account.

If you’re between 13–17, you may only use GigMug through an account owned by a parent or legal guardian, with their permission.

Anyone under 13 years old is not permitted to use the platform.

GigMug Accounts: The Basics

When you sign up on GigMug, your account is automatically set up as a client (buyer) account. This means you can start browsing and ordering services right away.

If you also want to offer your own services and earn money, you’ll need to activate the freelancer (seller) account option.

In short:

Clients (buyers) → Purchase services from freelancers.

Freelancers (sellers) → Offer their skills and services (called “Gigs”).

Creating a Client (Buyer) Account

Go to GigMug’s homepage and click “Join” (top right corner).

Choose how you want to sign up:

With email (recommended)

Or through Google, Facebook, or Apple ID

Pick a username and set a password.

Note: Once chosen, your username cannot be changed. (Your display name can be edited later.)

Verify your email: GigMug will send a code to your inbox. Enter the code to activate your account.

Personalize your profile by answering a few quick questions so GigMug can tailor recommendations for you.

🎉 Done! You now have a GigMug client account and can start hiring freelancers.
