How GigMug Works for Clients

GigMug’s Terms of Service require all users to be at least 18 years old and legally able to form a binding contract.
Users between 13–17 may use the platform only through an account owned by a parent or legal guardian, with their consent.
Users under 13 years old are not permitted to use GigMug.

Freelancers showcase their expertise through detailed Gigs (service listings), which include pricing, packages, skills, and work samples. As a client, you can browse, compare, and hire freelancers who best fit your project needs—all in one place.
This guide will walk you through everything you need to know: from setting up your account to hiring your first freelancer.
Getting Started on GigMug
Opening Your GigMug Account
Signing up on GigMug is free.
Every new account starts as a client account by default.
You can use the same account to both buy services and become a freelancer by creating your first Gig.
Finding the Right Freelancer on GigMug
There are multiple ways to search for freelancers and services:
1. Search Bar
Enter keywords in the search bar at the top of the homepage (e.g., “logo design”).
GigMug will suggest popular related searches to refine your query.
2. Categories & Subcategories
Browse through categories in the navigation menu to explore freelancers by expertise.
3. Filters
Once you get your search results, you can refine them with filters like:
Budget – Set your price range.
Delivery Time – Find freelancers who can deliver within your required timeframe.
Freelancer Details – Filter by experience level, location, language, or availability.
Service Options – Choose between one-time services, subscriptions, or consultations.
👉 As you apply filters, they will appear above the results. Click X to remove any.
Posting a Project Brief (Personalized Offers)
Instead of searching manually, you can also post a Project Brief on GigMug.
Write a short description of your project (including budget and timeline).
GigMug’s AI will transform it into a professional brief.
Your brief will then be shared with freelancers who match your requirements.
You’ll receive tailored offers directly in your account, making it easier to choose the right fit.

Reviewing Freelancers Before Hiring
When exploring freelancers, pay attention to:
Profiles → Location, languages, response time, and bio.
Packages → Basic, Standard, and Premium pricing options.
Reviews & Ratings → See what past clients say about their experience.
FAQs → Get clarity on what’s included before ordering.
Placing and Completing an Order
Ordering on GigMug is quick and straightforward:
Choose a Gig – Select the service you want.
Pick a Package – Basic, Standard, or Premium. You can also request a custom offer.
Confirm & Pay – Add extras if needed, choose a payment method, and confirm.
Once the freelancer delivers the work:
Review the submission.
Request revisions if needed.
Mark the order as Completed once satisfied.
💡 GigMug applies a small service fee to each order. Refunds are available in certain cases through Customer Support.
Order Tracking & Status Updates
Every order has a status that updates automatically as you and the freelancer take actions.
You can monitor progress directly on your order page.
Reviews & Ratings
After your project is completed, you’ll have the chance to leave a review.
Reviews help maintain trust and transparency on GigMug.
They allow clients to make informed choices.
